a game of scruples

After an abortion Liam and Heidi get more than they bargained for, until they learn how to play along. Many people ask me what exactly is the game here? I am using this blog entry to answer that question.
A game of scruples is a good way to get to know a person. It's the best way to get close to someone. To see if you are a match for someone. It can find your opposite. Plus, it's fun to play.
For example, when leaving my house I turn onto a public road. A group of fluorescent yellow-vested people had been working on the road for a few days. They had completely removed the asphalt and now it was all sand. I put the brakes on and looked over the hood of my car to see what was in front of me. The cement curb was still in place, so there was a pretty good drop. If I drove out of the exit I may have bottomed out, and the car would be teetering on the curb edge. The men had left for the day. They had orange cones to mark the area. The problem was that they were all left to the side of the curb.
I immediately recognized that this was a game of scruples. If I got out of the car I could pick up the orange cones and block the exit. None of my neighbors would get stuck. However, this was not written in stone. I can think of one neighbor that would not stop. I faced another challenge. I would have had to walk into traffic and this was a risk. Meanwhile, I was running late for an appointment. I could leave by driving into the entrance and over a dirt ramp. That is if I could miss a head-on collision. Still, this was another solution because when I returned it would be easy to help out any car that was seesawing. I could then manually help. Maybe even get a reward.
